Next Round of CSO Clinical Academic Fellowships Now Open

The Chief Scientist Office (CSO) of the Scottish Government has announced the latest round of their Clinical Academic Fellowship scheme, open for application until Wednesday 12 October 2022
The aim of the scheme is to build research capacity in Scotland's NHS - as such it provides the opportunity for clinical professionals early in their career to undertake a PhD.
The eligibility for this scheme includes doctors and dentists in training, GPs, GDP’s, NMAHPS, and Healthcare Scientists.
As the scheme is designed to support people early in their career, there are limits around salaries payable which are outlined in guidance documentation. If you are not sure of your eligibility you must discuss any potential application with the CSO beforehand to ensure it will be accepted for assessment.
